Sustainable Tourism in the Dyfi Biosphere

Did you know that Aberystwyth and North Ceredigion are part of the exciting Dyfi Biosphere UNESCO initiative?

Work on a new project, run by ecodyfi, has started, which will concentrate its efforts on working with businesses and communities in this specific area. The project is part of Ceredigion Council's Rural Development Plan and is financed by the European Union Agriculture Fund: Europe Investing in Rural Areas.

Would you like to:

  • Find out more about the advantages of sustainable tourism – the rapidly growing tourism market?
  • Learn more about the opportunities for your business of being part of Wales’ first Biosphere area?
  • Receive practical assistance to operate in a sustainable way – and see how your business will gain from doing so?
  • Be part of a wider scheme to draw businesses and tourism services together into a cluster specific to North Ceredigion?
  • Take advantage of new networking opportunities? Receive advice and practical assistance to join the Green Tourism Business accreditation Scheme?
  • Contribute to the development of a low carbon offer for tourists – bringing together transport, attractions, producers and local activities?

To learn more about the project and see how you could be part of the new development contact Gwawr on 01654 703 965 or gwawr@ecodyfi.org.uk
