The Welsh Assembly Government’s Department for Environment, Sustainability and Housing earmarked a sum of money for activities in the Dyfi Biosphere area that related to either nature conservation or climate change.
28 applications were approved, though one of these was not taken up in the end. Many projects delivered both nature conservation and climate change benefits.
The projects are described on the next page.
A summary and overall evaluation concluded that:
It kept momentum going in the Dyfi Biosphere process and showed it’s not all talk
It delivered real benefits for nature conservation and climate change
It increased the numbers of people involved and strengthened connections
